The Sunbelt Solomon team enjoyed the opportunity to connect with other industry leaders and changemakers at this year’s Scott’s Mining Conference, presented by Scott Offord in Round Rock, Texas, on February 7th and 8th, 2022. The industry’s brightest discussed current trends, technology, strategies, energy, and sustainability at the conference.
The conference kicked off with a tour to Rockdale, Texas, to visit Whinstone, the largest crypto mining facility in North America. The team at Whinstone demonstrated their water immersion mining process that reduces heat and energy consumption.
JP Baric, the well-known CEO of North Carolina-based managed mining and services company MiningStore, shared his story, from purchasing his first cryptocurrency in 2012 to mining his first coin in 2017 and forming MiningStore.
The conference ended on a high note with a closing address from industry leader and Microstrategy CEO Michael Saylor covering mining subjects from Proof of Work vs. Proof of Stake, physics, energy consumption, and an outlook on the supply chain.
